There is also Mashinky which is still in early access and I haven't tried it yet but reactions seem to be mostly positive. It's a fun way to learn railway history, although some controls are challenging. I'm hoping the game improves over time because it has the most interesting gameplay so far. Buy Feral Interactive recently brought the iconic game 'Sid Meier's Railroads' to iOS. Download Sid Meiers Railroads and enjoy it on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. The only downsides so far are that it doesn't have manual signal placement making it hard to manage a lot of trains and some other bugs and missing QoL features. It has a very good campaign, AI opponents, research and ability to buy or build industries. Often you are given a long term mission but it's up to you how to get there without going bankrupt. The goals are interesting and challenging. Railroad Corporation - This game has the most interesting economy so far. It has scenarios with goals that are somewhat interesting but overall I feel this game is a bit too easy. Visually it's the best one out there as well. It also has a research system which I like. Feral Interactive published a version of it for Mac OS X in 2012, and recently. That is right at the top in the Railroadschangelog. Economy is interesting and you can also buy or build industries which is great. Sid Meier's Railroads is a simulation strategy game developed by Firaxis Games and published by 2K Games in 2006. Railway Empire - Also very good track system that is very similar to TF but the scale of the map is smaller so it gets a bit unwieldy at times. There are scenarios but those are also quite boring. On the other hand it has no opponents, no goals and no challenges after establishing your initial transport lines and starting to make profit. RAGE, Railroad Tycoon 2, Railroad Tycoon 3, Raptor: Call of the Shadows. During MS-DOS & Windows 95/98 years, Sid Meiers Railroad Tycoon series is one of favorite games on my PC. Transport Fever - Has the most realistic and detailed track laying, train physics and cargo systems. I love Tycoon game or business simulation game. The game is heavily focused on economics players have to build and sustain entire industries using the railroads they develop. It's a hard choice because all of them have some great things about them but also have flaws.
